Although a copper roof costs more than a traditional metal to install, it is well worth your investment. As copper weathers over time, it oxidizes and goes through a process known as patina – which turns your roof from the base copper color to gorgeous shade of green, similar to a jade color.

You may have heard that a copper roof sounds louder than other roofing structures when rain hits it. This is simply not true. Nor does it attract lighting more than other types of roofs.

And the benefits of a copper roof are numerous. Insects and rodents do not like a copper roof, and thus will not be tempted to munch on your roof or take up residence there. And neither mold nor mildew will grow on a copper roof, which is not always the case with other types of roofing materials. Moss is also discouraged from growing on a copper roof.

Concerned about the environment and its demise? Here is another reason to consider a Arizona copper roof. About 75 percent of a copper roof is made from recycled copper. You can’t get much more environmentally friendly than that. And because a copper roof will last a lifetime, there will not be a need to replace it.

Worried about maintaining a copper roof? Don’t be! A mixture of lemon juice, salt and white vinegar is all you need to clean it – and you can find those right in your kitchen! How much easier could it be? Of course, you will want to use a brush that can reach the roof, because a copper roof can be slippery, and therefore dangerous.

In ancient times, a copper roof could be found on many castles, and that trend is coming back today because of the material’s durability , cost and sustainability. In fact, most if the copper roofing used in the USA comes from Arizona.

Triangle Roofing copper roofing materials are available in copper standing seam, copper shingle and Bermuda copper panels. Arizona leads all states in the production of copper and non-fuel minerals. Thats why Triangle roofing Company is the number one copper roofing contractor in the state of Arizona.

Choosing standing seam copper roofing is the most popular and cost effective over other copper roofing materials. However, the copper standing seam yields a unique-looking roof that should last over 1000 years. The copper standing seam roofing turns patina brown after about a year, then may turn patina green in 300-500 years. To put standing seam copper on your roof. Triangle Roofing standing seam fabricated panels are available in 16-20-24-ounce copper. See below for additional copper roofing products.

Architectural copper roofing materials are 99.9 % pure copper. Triangle Roofing Companies copper roll formers and custom metal breaks are all rated for architectural copper roofing materials.

THE STATE NAME: COPPER ROOFING ARIZONA

It's said that a mining speculator named Charles D. Poston first suggested the name Arizona in a petition to the United States Congress to make Arizona a legal territory.

The name, Arizona, is derived from a combination of two words from the Papago Indian dialect of the Pima language; "Aleh" and "Zon" together as "Aleh-zon" meaning "little spring." The "little spring", located in Mexican territory, is near a large silver discovery made in Arizona Creek.

Pimeria was in reference to the land of the Pima Indians of the region.

Gadsonia was a Latin adaptation of the surname of James Gadsden. This suggested name is rooted in one man's dream/scheme to establish a southern transcontinental railroad running from Florida to the Pacific coast. Underlying this idea was Mr. Gadsden's desire to make the western territories economically dependent on the southern states rather than the northern states. James Gadsden was appointed U.S. Minister to Mexico and instructed to purchase, from Mexico, a strip of land south of the Gila River and lying in what is now southwestern New Mexico and southern Arizona. The Gadsden Purchase formalized the deal, providing Mexico with $10,000,000, the United States with 45,535 square miles of land and a clarified the U.S./Mexico boundary. The Gadsden Purchase also provided James Gadsden with a route for his transcontinental railroad. Click here for more about the Gadsden Purchase.
